FAQs
Do you take insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly.
This model allows me to offer clear, upfront pricing with no surprise bills and give you the specialized one-on-one care you deserve without restrictions or rushed appointments. Many patients find that, even with insurance, they end up paying over $180 per visit in traditional healthcare settings.
Upon request, I’m happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (also called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.
If you’re unsure about your coverage, I can guide you on what to ask your insurance provider.
What to expect during your first visit?
Your first visit will take place in a private, one-on-one setting to ensure your comfort and confidentiality.
We’ll begin with a detailed conversation about your current symptoms, medical history, and any lifestyle or physical factors that may be contributing. This helps us fully understand the root causes of what you're experiencing.
Next, we’ll move into a full-body movement assessment. Please wear comfortable clothing, as we’ll be doing gentle movements and functional tests to evaluate how your body is working from head to toe.
After the assessment, I’ll explain my findings in clear terms so you understand what’s going on and why. We’ll then build a personalized treatment plan that may include therapeutic exercises, lifestyle recommendations, and a general timeline for your recovery, so you’ll leave with a clear understanding of what comes next.
Who can provide pelvic floor treatment?
In the United States, only licensed Physical Therapists (PTs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) who have completed specialized training are qualified to perform internal pelvic floor evaluations and treatments.
Other healthcare professionals may offer external assessments or general pelvic health support, which can certainly be beneficial. However, without internal evaluation, it’s often difficult to get a complete picture of pelvic floor function. Internal assessment allows for a more comprehensive and individualized approach, especially when addressing issues like pelvic pain, incontinence, or postpartum recovery.
Always make sure your provider has the appropriate credentials and training specific to pelvic health.
What are your credentials?
I hold a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Missouri State University.
To specialize in pelvic health, I completed both Level 1 and Level 2 pelvic floor coursework through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In addition, I’ve earned certifications as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Champion Performance Specialist.
These advanced trainings allow me to provide evidence-based pelvic floor therapy and help bridge the gap between injury recovery and a safe return to fitness, athletics, or daily life.
